Who We Are

The Muslim Community Care Foundation is founded on the principle that individuals in our community can only fulfill their life purpose if we help eliminate the barriers that hinder their success. These barriers can include food insecurity, health and wellness issues, unemployment, and limited community involvement. Our goal is to provide support and guidance, inspiring individuals to become leaders and role models for others. Driven by our faith, we aim to empower the community to create a better future for all. Many of our professional staff and volunteers are youth, young adults, BIPOC, disabled, seniors, and immigrants. MCCF acknowledges and respects them for who they are and who they will become in the future.

Our team has a variety of backgrounds, skills, and views. The more inclusive we are, the better our impact will be to help people in need. The programs and activities will encourage people to develop skills and build confidence so they can reach their full potential and encourage them to keep away from violence and the discrimination that can adversely affect their conduct within society and divert them from the straight path. They can become righteous citizens who will have a sense of belonging in their community and in the future take what they have learned to help others. All programs and activities are open to all individuals regardless of background, religion, belief, race, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to cultivate a safe and vibrant environment that empowers those in need. By offering access to transformative resources, education, and programs, we ignite a path towards self-discovery and equip individuals with the tools necessary to become agents of positive change in their own lives and in their communities.

Our Vision

Our mission is to empower the community to reach new heights by fostering a culture of full participation in decision-making, providing access to opportunities for personal growth, and guiding individuals towards their life’s purpose. We will bring about lasting change by offering critical social services such as food, mental health support, and wellness programs, as well as educational and recreational opportunities. In times of need, we will be a source of emergency support. Additionally, we will work to promote diversity, inclusion, and intercultural/interfaith cooperation, while nurturing good citizenship within the community.

We would like to acknowledge and give respect to the Indigenous peoples of British Columbia, including the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, who have lived on these lands for thousands of years. We recognize the rich cultural heritage and deep spiritual connections they have with the land, water, and all living things. We pay homage to the Indigenous peoples' sovereignty and the treaties they have made with the Crown, and we commit to building relationships based on respect, understanding, and reconciliation.
